Needed this base for a Savage Axis .223. It fits perfectly and would have given it 5 stars but one of the screws in the package was too long. No problem, I just recycled one of the screws from the factory installed mount. However, the screws that came with it are slotted. Not my favorite but they work fine.
Pros:
  • Full length base accommodates scopes that cannot be mounted on the Savage Axis factory installed two piece mount.
Cons:
  • Slotted screws
Best Used for:
  • Vortex Crossfire 2, 4 -12 X 50
