A quality base at an excellent price. - Weaver Multi Slot Savage Axis Rifle Scope Base System

If you are trying to mount a scope on a Savage Axis, I would highly recommend this base. Adding a multi-slotted base to a rifle makes mounting the scope much easier, especially on a long action rifle like the Axis. I would not want to use any other system. Don't let the low price fool you. This is a quality base that is just as good as any of the other brands.

Be aware that the base comes with two different length screws. The two long screws go in the rear closest to your eye when aiming. The two short screws go up front near the barrel.
Pros: Good low profile. Adds flexibility when mounting a scope.
Cons: Flathead screws, but not that big of a deal.
