Typical Weaver durability
I bought this for my Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt to mount a Leapers red dot sight for deer hunting.
I was very pleased with how easy it was to install.
I simply completely unscrewed the elevation screw for the rear sight, then carefully pushed out the horizontal pin (you will need a 1/32" punch to do...

Not made for 357
First, the one piece mount is a two piece. The base is gloss black but the yoke that goes around barrel is matte black. The ID of the yoke is .801 and the OD of the barrel is .775. That's no good in my book. Called Weaver and the tech's answer was I DON'T KNOW, send it back and we will send the ...

Great mount
I mounted this on my Blackhawk a few days ago. It is a really solid mount and looks pretty good, too. I mounted a 2x20 scope on it, which was easy to zero. I would definately buy again. I am a big fan of Weaver products and this one does not disappoint!
Pros:
- Easy to mount

New Model Blackhawk Mount
I wanted a no drill or tap model and this was the one that I found great reviews for.
Pros: It is easy to put on and is sturdy and well made. It fits very snugly and even though I have not had a chance to go to the range based on many reviews it should hold steady and not require re-zeroing the scope. I mounted a Simmons 3x6 Trophy with no problems.
Cons: The only one I have is that it only has two slots so this limits your mounting options but it works with my setup. Also, I bought a set of rings for it that said they fit a Weaver 20mm rail but due to the configuration of the cross bolt/tightening screw (kind of squarish) they did not fit.
Overall though an excellent product.

It fits Ruger Blackhawks
Read the instructions. When I took it out of the package I was sure it was the wrong size. Just rtfm and it works.
Also its a good idea to use a level to make sure its on the same place as the barrel.
That's all I can write right now. My wife is screaming at me and I have to stop.

Weaverscope Base for S&W K Frame Pistol
This required additional Machineing to properly mate the Base for the scope. Does not have a slot for the forward scope bolt to work properly. I had to get out my Dremel and purchase a 1/8" Grinding bit for this job. Pay a considerable amount to have it professionally machined.
Cons: Is not compatible with the Quick hot Scope

Rock solid
Mounted this with a Pride Fowler scope on a S&W 500mag. Works very well and is rock solid. I just wish the base was an inch or more longer so that my scope would sit an inch or more forward.
Pros: Well made
Cons: Could be longer for very large revolvers

Ruger New Model Blackhawk Weaver rail mount
It seems to be a solid mount even though there was slight movement to front ring before secured to main rail. I added black RTV under it on barrel. Only has two cross slots so not a lot of mounting options, and adds more height to the optic than expected. Don't see it as a problem other than it will not fit into the holster, but I knew that.
Bore sighted before and after for 50 yard zero. Can't wait to get out and shoot this .357 with reflex sight.
Pros: Solid no drill solution
Cons: adds height to your sight line
