Most Helpful Positive Review just as expected
had an older weaver scope i believe it was made in the USA and it took alot of beating on my ATV through rough terrain, this scope is just as reliable, fix power is the way to go and can take the abuse better then zoomable scopes, Great Product! Pros: very good and reliable Cons: None!

MY HUNTING EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS USING A LEUPOLD M8 4X FIXED SCOPE FOR A LONG LONG TIME. I UPGRADED WITH A LEUPOLD VARIABLE 3-9X40MM SCOPE, BUT DID NOT LIKE TO ADJUST TOO MUCH. I LIKE THE WEAVER K6 FIXED POWER SCOPE)CLASSIC WITH NO NEED TO ADJUST, WHICH I COULD JUST "POINT & SHOOT". THE WEAVER R...

Would not hold zero

by Gary, from NY, United States Written on July 15, 2018
I had hope for this scope; simple, fixed power, easy to focus. Unfortunately, the windage setting would not hold. The POI would creep right or left with every shot. Not matter what I did, it simply would not hold. I returned it and went with my go-to scope, Nikon. I have dozens of Nikons and Leupolds and have never had an issue with any of them. This is an example of getting what you pay for. I would have given it a zero if it had been available.
Pros:
  • Simple, Fixed Power
Cons:
  • Would not hold zero
Best Used for:
  • Paperweight

Won't hold windage zero.

by Eric Tet, from NY, United States Written on June 30, 2018
I wanted a fixed power scope for my Ruger 77/357 brush gun and thought this would be the one. I had sighted the rifle in with open sights and was getting 2 inch groups at 50 yards. This scope would continually jump left and right. The elevation held fine, but was getting 4 and 5 inch five shot groups, sometimes worse. I fired over 100 rounds and it just wasn't working. I put a variable scope on and was getting sub 2 inch groups. It was definitely the scope windage creeping about. I returned this scope. I put a Nikon on. One gets what one pays for.
Pros:
  • Fixed Power
Cons:
  • Would not hold zero
Best Used for:
  • As prop keeping loose window open

Hard to beat for the price

by Marmot, from NH, United States Written on June 17, 2018
I bought this scope to go on a Ruger American Target .22 that I plan to use in the sporter class in IR 50/50 competition. This class has a 7.5 pound weight limit for the entire rig. With this scope mounted in aluminum rings and with the magazine removed, it makes weight with .2 ounce to spare. The scope is compact, sharp, clear and bright. The parallax is likely set for 100 yards, which is something to keep in mind when positioning your head during aiming. This scope would be great for squirrels, chucks or western deer and antelope. I easily sighted it in after bore-sighting with 3 shots plus two more for confirmation.
Pros:
  • sharp
  • Price
  • light weight
  • bright
  • Clear
Cons:
  • adjustments require a coin
Best Used for:
  • target
  • Varmints
  • Big game

scope review

by Super X, from OH, United States Written on December 23, 2017
I bought this scope on the pass history of a K6. I am mounting this on a 45/70 rifle. I am hoping it is as good as they use to be. So far it is great, it adjusted well and you can see though the scope very well. At this point it is holding it zero and appears to do just like it is suppose to do. Very well priced and well made.
Pros:
  • well made and priced well
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting scope

Good scope, IF you can use it

by Pappy348, from WV, United States Written on November 1, 2017
This is a nice little scope. However, the short eye-relief and short tube make mounting a challenge on most rifles. A rail system gives the best chance for success. Mine ended up on a .22, where it looks very nice.

Best Scope for the Money

by John, from TX, United States Written on February 28, 2017
This is an outstanding optic. The conditions at my ranch vary from fairly open to heavy brush and I don't generally have the opportunity to fiddle with adjusting an optic. With a fixed optic you can just throw the rifle up, sight, and shoot. When sighting the rifle in the 6x magnifies things enough that you can see where you're rounds are impacting and it has a good broad field of view. This is also an extremely light weight optic and so far has been very durable. I have two and will likely buy at least one more. When on sale this is an excellent deal. In short, an excellent all round optic--I highly recommend it.

Great Scope

by Denver, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on June 21, 2016
Weaver has been around forever. Their quality seems to stay strong. OP had the best price on this anywhere and continues to provide great price with great service with free shipping. I am a big fan of fixed power scopes and 6X is just right. Lots of light gathering and the reticle shows up well. It is on a Browning BAR and the rifle is up and ready to go when I pick it up. It is a shorter scope and clears the rear sight. A great value and I am very happy with Weaver and OP.

Good scope

by db45, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on February 22, 2016
No issues with this product at all. Put it on a Weatherby Ultralight, and it looks good, doesn't add unnecessary weight and is, as far as I'm concerned, the perfect "all around" magnification for a utility rifle.

Very good optics and a great price with fast service. Was looking for a easy to use set power scope to use on a
rim fire rifle. This one fills all the requirements at a very good deal form OPTIC PLANET. So yes I would
recommend this scope to any one who likes things that are easy to install and use.
