Legacy Reviewer's Review of Weaver T-Series 1/8 MOA Target 36x40mm A/O Dot Rifle Scope
I purchased this scope to use on a Cooper 22-250 I own. I wanted a scope that would give me the best chance of using the rifles inherent accuracy. The T36 more than exceeded my expectations.
First this is NOT a hunting scope unless you are hunting varmints at 500-1000 yards. The depth of field and field of view on the scope are so narrow that you need to be shooting at known distances where your target is pretty stationary. Think of your spotting scope mounted on your rifle. This scope is a favorite of the bench rest crowd for this reason. If you are looking for a scope that will allow you to shoot the smallest groups your rifle is capable of then this is one of the best values on the market today.
I am amazed every time I use this scope. You can pick out a fly on your target at 200 yards. You can easily see .22 caliber bullet holes on targets at 300 yards. The scope adjustments track almost perfectly and the so far the scope has held zero. The only real issue I have with the T36 is that the parallax scale is not very accurate, so you have to look through the scope to set the parallax. This is the second Weaver scope I have purchased in the last year and I am extremely pleased with both of them. You will be hard pressed to find a better value in a high magnification target scope than the T36.
Pros: Magnification, 1/8 moa target reticle
Cons: Parallax scale, depth of field
