Made where? - Weaver SPR 30mm Optics Mount

I think I get it with all of the five star reviews, not a single one of the reviewers lapped the rings, rings that will never lap true enough to mount anything in without having to remove so much aluminum as to leave the cap so thin that they will bow before clamping the scope tube down. The caps are already borderline thin under the side flats before lapping. So this is "made in USA quality" and represented as high end yet the quality reflects something different. The mounts (yes, I bought two) also have wear areas where they rattled around loose inside oversize plastic boxes for what appears to have been more than one long ride. I should have known, priced too good to be true.

I wanted to post a photo of the rings after the aborted lapping but could not embed it nor attach it. 80+ strokes with the bar, decent rings are done in less than half that!
