Not all that great. Not Black but Grey mounts. Will not allow use of iron sights.
I purchased these weaver scope rings to mount a new scope on my Remington 700 riffle chambered in 7mm rem mag. I have never had a problem with weaver scope rings before so I thought these would be perfect for my new set up. I was wrong.
Firstly the scope rings are a machined aluminum color that is almost an non reflective silver or grey. I was expecting black ones as shown in the picture. This is no big deal to me but I would like to get what I actually paid for. Also the silver clashes with a mostly black barrel and receiver. Also I don't think the silver would be as stealthy as the black rings. I removed them from the package and read the instructions. No where in the instructions does it say that the rings are different from front to back. It also does not say that the rings are designed to have one before the receiver opening and one after the receiver opening. This is a problem because the rear iron sights on my gun will have to come off to accommodate the rear scope ring. Which ultimately defeats the purpose of having see through mounts. On top of this the spacing on the holes in the mounts is different from front to rear and is also different on the gun. This means that I had to elongate the front sight ring bolt hole with a drill to get the scope to mount in front of the receiver without removing my rear iron sights. Will not buy these again.

Cons:
- Does not fit on forward mounting holes on Remington 700
- Comes with 2 diffrent rings designed to mount in the iron sights rearward location.
- Does not come with correct length screws.

Not as pictured
These mounts are MATTE SILVER colored, and NOT BLACK as in the picture. The description on the web page is accurate, but the picture is misleading. I would have rated these mounts as a 5 if they had been black as pictured.

excelent product
good product and effective, it does what it's make for, cheap and easy to install, i'll recommend this item for my friends, it should be better if the next order could ship faster that this one, because it took 1 month to be in stock
