I was initially concerned about holding lateral postion, but after about 100 rounds (.223), it still seems steady and solid. This was a rifle-saver as the Rem 700 ADL had mis-aligned mounting holes drilled, so much that max scope adjustment (and there was PLENTY) wasn't sufficient to overcome the correction needed to zero the scope.
Pros: As advertised
Cons: None discovered

I used these rings on a 30-30 lever action that was not able to adjust windage to the right. These have plenty of adjustment in the mount and I was able to recenter my scope and not be to the extreme of its settings. These mounts didn’t come with instructions but had all the screws and they can only go in one place,it was installed within a couple of minutes. I bought the low version of the mount which made me have to remove the rifles rear sight, I would recommend the taller version for extra room
Pros:
Easy to install
easy to adjust
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Firearms that need more windage adjustment
Would recommend: Yes

I picked up a Savage 99 for a very low price, in no small part because the drilling & tapping was off-axis. I needed every bit of the windage adjustment on both the front and back rings, but it brought it right in to alignment. It brought this rifle back from the boneyard.

These are Great!
I use them on a couple of rifles. They’re great for basic windage adjustment and keeping the scope’s adjustment for fine tuning in the center of the range not against the stops. Just center the scope’s reticle and use the mounts adjustment to bore sight windage.
I’ve used another common brand that uses Aluminum clamps and had them snap off. Weaver’s steel mounts are affordable quality.
Pros:
made from steel not Al.
Cons:
None yet!

I have always thought Weaver got it right with their design of the Sure Grip rings. In this instance it is, I belive, it is a good product at a reasonable price. Did not need to adjust the windage but I know that it makes these rings more versatile for use on any of my other rifles.
