I would have given this scope mount 5 stars had I bought it to put on a hard-kicking caliber like a .338 or .300 Win Mag, but I mounted it on my wifes AR-15 in .223. I just put it on the picatinny rail, snugged down the thumbnuts, secured the scope in the rings,and boresighted it before tightening the torx head screws on top of the mount. I am very mechanics-challenged and this mount was Very easy!
