Great product! offset mounters beware!!! - Weaver Thumbnut SPR 30mm Mount

Okay, I quickly want to say that this product is amazing and will do exactly as advertised. I wanted a lower budget option for my Vortex Viper PST 1-4x Variable Scope (LOVE IT!!!) without having to break too much of the bank. This product not only fit the bill, but exceeded expectations. TWO things to note shooters, it being a thumbnut tightening method, I had to really tighten it down well with a penny pre-zeroing in, then once more at the range once I've shot a few rounds. This is ordinary, as some of you might know, the threading is nice and settled in now. The second thing to note, and this is likely due to the product I chose, there isn't a ton of clearance if you intend on using a 45 degree offset rail beneath this mount for your BUIS. In my case, the scope was WAY to close to my Troy rear sight quick release button, leaving me with no choice but to either leave the sight flipped up, but with the button partially engaged, or slid back a bit, then grinding up against my scope. BIG TIME NO. So, just be wary of placement shooters, and just an FYI, the 45 offset rail accessory was the NCSTAR 45 degree off set mount (FULL review under Ruger556Shooter). Happy shooting!
