Taking my castle nut off and it literally broke with the first bit of pressure. Since OpticsPlanet wants more words of warning for you, I had mounted it to my bench and it shattered at the base. very handy,hooks right up to tipton bench vise.must have for AR owners.makes cleaning ,scope mounting ,& adjustments on you AR a snap.you can mount it either way if you need gun to lock in & push mag release to unlock gun or spin it 180deg & just set gun down for a quick adjustment.great product

Works as advertised.
Although I don’t have the mag well vise I was able to mount it easily onto a short piece of angle iron that I can lock into my bench vise. It works very well. I like that I can change angles for different types of work required. I’ll be making good use of this piece of equipment!

Great Addition to Tipton Best Gun Vise
Originally I got this because I needed to use it to remove the ejector roll pin and this vise worked great in getting it out and installing it back in. It is sturdy and was a pleasure to use while building my lower receiver.

Great to have if you own the Tipton Gun Vice
This is a great add on item if you already own the Tipton gun vise which I already reviewed and loved it. I use this for mounting my AR lower if I need to work on it or if I am building one.
It locks the lower in place and you don't need to worry about it moving all over the place.
My only gripe and this might just be a me thing but i just hate needing to remove the other parts on my vice to get this on because it needs slide on in order for you to lock it in place.

Nice AR-15 magwell holder.
I just received my AR-15 Magwell holder and I’m impressed by it. I have not had an opportunity to use it yet but it made really well. The holder is lightweight, appears to be durable and I like the how it can be adjusted. It came with one set of hardware so it can be mounted to a bench. However, I have a Tipton Best Vise that I will be using with. I look forward to using this item!

Works great with Tipton Best Gun Vice
I already had a Tipton Best Gun Vice that I use with my hunting rifles. I had just recently purchased an AR, and happened to come across this vice block on Optic Planet's website. Works perfectly with the vice. There are some limitations, however, as the vice block and vice itself are plastic, so it might not be ideal for some jobs where a solid vice block and heavy-duty bench vice are more suitable. The block and vice are probably best suited for cleaning and minor work on the gun, but I will say that was able to remove and reinstall the castle nut and receiver end plate using the vice block, and it held up just fine even with the torque needed to break the castle nut loose. I find it to be a great purchase for the price and integration with the Tipton vice.

works ok for the price
So I got this expecting it to be pretty sturdy in order to put my barrel nut on AMD needless to say it bends pretty bad. I'd recommend this for light work or cleaning your AR and nothing more. It kind of feels lile a gimmick. I'd still refer other to it though.
