I wouldn't buy anything else
Wilcox freely admits "The first reaction people tend to have is to balk at the price tag" for most of their products and this was my initial reaction as well. That being said, like any adult, I've been a few tough situations where cheaper products failed when it mattered, and I figured that if I'm spending $3K or more on night vision I might as well make sure I can see through it perfectly. My experience using the cheaper rhino mount as a Marine left me with a pretty bad impression, so I spent the money on this one. This mount is very high quality and can you adjust your NVD to the exact heigh...

what can i say? it’s the best in the business right now. if you own nods, you know this is the way to go. it’s what the professionals use. yes, it’s expensive for what it is, but if you’re in the night vision game money really isn’t a factor anyways
Pros:

Wilcox G24 mount
This review is pretty self explanatory. Wilcox makes is the top tier mounting solution for night vision devices. Super strong and sturdy, easy operation, with lots of adjustment in different areas the way you’d want. my only complaint is that with all night vision devices you want them as close as possible, and with the break away you kind of lose a little bit of that adjustment space. It’s kind of a trade off though in the unlikely event that you get hung up so bad that you would happen to break your neck. They are a little pricey but you’re paying for that Wilcox name and it’s worth it compared to other brands.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Sturdy
- Strong
- Precision
Cons:
- price
Would recommend: Yes
Wilcox G24 Breakaway NV Mount
If your spending the money on night vision… this is the best piece of equipment to use for your NVG’s. Excellent craftsmanship, multi plane adjustable. Excellent kit. It’s not cheap, but I believe in the buy once cry once policy for great equipment. Save your money, take the time to read about the items and talk to people that use NVG equipment. They agree with me. Hope this helps.
Pros:
- NVG Mount excellence
Cons:
- Pricey
Best Used for:
- MOUNTING NVG HARDWARE

Wilcox g24 is superior
This is far superior to the “Rhino” mount! The fine adjustments on the G24 are perfect. When NVG is not used it fold back fairly flush with your helmet. Solid and secure. A must have accessory if you are planning on having something that will get you through your Op!

Do not bother with cheap options
If you run night vision or want to run night Wilcox mounts are are option 1,2,3 and 4. There are other options that will work but nothing works better and nothing offers you more overall value despite the price being higher for these than other options. The breakaway mount is must in my opinion to avoid injury and the small profile of folds up to is great. The g24 is perfect for getting into NVG since it works with monoculars and you can add on another monocular or binoculars so you can grow with these. But once cry once
Pros:
- Sturdy, quality design, breakaway mount, small profile, versatile
Cons:
- Expensive
Best Used for:
- Night vision connected to helmet
Would recommend: Yes
The gold standard
I have been using the standard rhino mount for several years. I became tired of the wobble and the lack of fine adjustment. The Wilcox mount is more expensive, but You will immediately Experience the difference in adjustment and fit. Once you go Wilcox, you’ll never go back.
Pros:
- Finer adjustment and less wobble
Cons:
- Price thats all I got.
Best Used for:
- Night vision goggles
Would recommend: Yes
Simply the go-to choice
What else can I say? If you roll with nods you can't go wrong with this G24, this is the best mount I've used. Simple, sturdy, lightweight, effective, easy-to-adjust, solid and positive lock. Or you can roll with USGI Norotos and be adjusting your nods every 10 secs when on the move. Honestly G11 or Norotos titanium are good options as well, but G24 is still top-notch and my go-to choice.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- easy to adjust
- Positive lock positions
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- nods stuff
Would recommend: Yes
