Now that you all made them successful they are going to thank you by raising the prices of replacement lenses $200. Now instead of paying $350 for rx you will pay $550. Keep your glasses I'll do my job and go elsewhere.

I originally purchased a pair of Wiley X AirRage prescription sunglasses about 5 years ago from my local eyecare provider. I just ordered a new pair from Optics Plant for a savings of more than half! The prescription was executed clearly and I have an extreme astigmatism in both eyes. I will definitely return for my next pair. I love these glasses for driving in my convertible to keep the sun and wind from irritating my eyes.

This is my second prescription pair from Planet Optics. The old pair I use for jobs that may get scratched. I really think these are a value for the high quality. The design has the lenses recessed just enough so if dropped the nose of the glasses seems to absorb impact. I have done copious research to see if there is something better but have found these to be the best choice for outdoor and rugged use.

Awesome prescription sunglasses. Script is spot on and these are more clear than my 5.11's. Frame fits well are comfortable. Less expensive than the models my Dr. offered and with increased safety form the better lenses. Would purchase another pair.

I purchased these glasses at bike week in Daytona about four years ago. They are very dark which I like and they have the transition lenses in them. I have had to purchase several facial cavity seal inserts as they tend to disintegrate over time. I would suggest buying a spare or two so you do not have to wait for new ones or go looking all over for them when you need them. These glasses are great for riding a motorcycle with and they are great in the Florida sun. They make your eyes feel as if you are wearing goggles while they look like cool sunglasses. I am having new lenses made for the frames (RX changed) as they do not go out of style and hold up very well with time and use. The only problem I have is that you can not call and talk to someone about your lenses. It has to be done thru e-mail…why I do not know. That is what I was told when I called the 800 # for optics planet. Use the e-mail adders eyewear@opticsplanet.com
Best Used for:
- Motorcycle or other windy conditions

MY "other" wrap around sunglasses had the padding falling off and a reviewer on the site where I was going to purchase the inevitable 2-year replacement recommended the Wiley X AirRage instead of the brand I was using. I did a search and found the product at planetoptics.com.
Planetoptics has EXCELLENT customer service. The product was received in advance of the three week promised delivery and is perfect.
The only error was the misapprehension on the part of one of planetoptics sales agents that a delivery could be made by ups to a PO box.
So I had to pick up package from UPS myself. not a biggy. VERY HAPPY WITH PRODUCT AND THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE OF PURCHASING

Perfect for motorcycle riding! If you have sensitive or dry eyes like I do these sunglasses are the best. They cut out excessive wind keeping your eyes and driving safe.
I also use these for trap shooting. Great wrap around lenses for wide views.

Have the transition lenses. Glasses work great for outdoor activities. I got these mainly for military/police work where contacts are not a good idea. Wore these for range duty, worked great all day and into dusk. The wrap around design makes them great for shooting and other "tactical activities." If your kevlar slides down while low crawling, it won't catch the edges like it would on traditional glasses. In full sun light the transition lenses darken to make these look like normal sunglasses. Inside, with the lenses clear, they look more like goggles. You can use them as everyday wear glasses, but be prepared to get some double takes. One con is that the transitions darken only under sunlight, and if you are driving, the windshield will filter out UV light and prevent them from darkening. Overall a good buy.
Pros:
- practical
- Low profile, wrap around design
Cons:
- Won't darken in the car
- Can get foggy under heavy exertion, even with gaskets removed
Best Used for:
- Outdoor activities
- Tactical training/operations

I purchased a pair of matte black Air Rage with RX lens (polarized brown lens). They arrived much sooner than expected, and after wearing them one afternoon, I love them. I have eye damage which requires me to protect my eyes against further damage from dust, sun, impact, etc. With the foam shield these are perfect. Also- I almost never write reviews, but I am impressed with both OpticsPlanet and Wiley Air Rage.
Pros: Fit, protection, quality
Cons: Fits small to medium only

I bought the Air Rage Black Ops prescription glasses with transition lenses for riding my motorcycle. These glasses fit great under my half helmet. They don't fog up and they are very comfortable.
