Here is the short story first for those of you who just want the facts. My progression in life with sunglasses started with RayBands, then Gargoyles, then Oakleys, and now Wiley X brand. I've owned these and a pair of Revolver X's. Three things stand out with the Wiley X'x. They haven't broken, they haven't scratched, and they don't break your bank. Great glasses.
Now the long version. I've spent a lot of money on sunglasses in the last 20 years with the brands mentioned above. They have all broken, or been scratched except the Wiley X's. I bought my first pair of Wiley X Revolvers at the Camp Liberty PX in Irag while wearing a expensive pair of Oakleys. I wore both out on mission. The Wiley X's never broke, never scratched and never underperformed. I wore the finish of the Oakley frames and had to replace the lenses twice due to dropping them on the floor. The Wiley X's are the most durable sunglasses that I have ever owned, and this pair of Xcess's is no exception. I tried this pair out on a all day boat trip around Mackinaw Island, even swimming with them on and they performed great. They only thing that wasn't on fire at the end of the day was my eyes. Always get the darkest polarized lenses if your going to be on the water, snow, or sand.
Hope this helps.
