Most Helpful Positive Review This is the BEST sights for muzzle loader
If you have factory sights, order these and see the difference. You are going to LOVE these!!!! They are nice fits to my Acura V2, and I just ordered another set for my son on his T/C Easy to mount and adjust, and the multiple sight patterns help decide which one you want to use for what you are hunting.

Western Precision/Excellent Sights

by JC, Verified Owner from NM, United States Written on January 11, 2026
This sight fit my TC Impact rifle perfectly. Only issue is that the fine crosshair inserts are too precise for this old man. I cannot see them. No worries since Willaims offers options with inserts being a bit larger with fiber optics.
Pros:
  • well made
  • fit perfectly
Cons:
  • some front sight inserts can be hard to see
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Should be a great sight

by Shan B, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on November 2, 2025
I bought this sight off of a recommendation for my new in-line muzzle loader. I have always used a traditional but am planning on hunting in Iowa and wanted to scope this rifle. The precision sight will allow me to mount a scope over the top of it so I can still use it here in Colorado, without over complicating the transition and messing with my open sights. I wear glasses and this sight allows me to shoot with them on. The rear peep sight aligns nicely with the different front reticles included with the sight. It mounted perfectly on my rifle and is easy to see through and find your target. I haven't shot the rifle yet, but sighting in should be pretty simple. Overall the sight is nice looking on the rifle, it is a little bigger than your typical sight, but for older eyes, this should do the trick and help me knock down what I am aiming at.
Pros:
  • Looks great
  • Easy to mount
  • Affordablility
  • Optional reticles for preference
Cons:
  • Has a larger footprint on your rifle

New Williams sights.

by LeeF, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on October 12, 2024
I've used Williams sights on a some of my lever actions and all of my muzzleloaders. Love the old sights. The new ones seem like lighter material was used to make ? As far as fit and quality is good. Haven't had them in the field yet. Curious to see how they hold up to every day hunting. The old ones are bullet proof. Aperture rear / globe front.

CVA Optima precision gunsight

by Bob, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on September 21, 2024
This sight is easy to mount and use. Easy to pick up target thru peep sight and focus on crosshairs. Seems to be well built and firmly attaches to muzzleloader. Have not used in a hunting situation, and sight may be a bit dark to see in low light conditions.

Muzzle loader sight

by Jared, from UT, United States Written on March 19, 2022
Using this sight on CVA lr-x in 45 caliber. Works good so far. SST sabot with 2 777 pellets yield a 1” group at 100yrds. Still working on load for powerbelts.my only complaint is the LR-X is going back to cva as the nitrite treatment I. The barrel is failing after 10 shots.
Pros:
  • it works
Cons:
  • Had to call cva as is not listed to work on 45 cal version
Best Used for:
  • hunting
