I love this mag well! Perfect fit with my 24 year old Springfield 1911A1. No fitting needed at all. Fit perfectly beneath the VZ Grips Operator II and Double Diamond Caribbean Rosewood grips I use on this pistol. There's a bit of spring tension created by the arms of the mag well against the grips and this should help keep the grip screws from backing out. Not that they ever did... But nothing wrong with a little extra security. The blue perfectly matches the bluing on the rest of the pistol.
