rambie's Review of Wilson Combat 1911 Elite Tactical 7 Round Pistol Magazine
Reviewing Officer's model "compact" with dark coating. Model: 500-9C9B-9RD
I have four now and while it's buy once, cry once, it's happy days at the range. The coating is much like Teflon, so it glides in and out of the mag well. It's also coated on the inside too, smoothing round movement in the well. Also the steel appears thicker than normal, it's very rigid, no flex at all. The coating does not seem to make it slipperier when handling the magazine, so far.
Add to that it gives the Officer's 1911 an extra round (9) and my 9mm Dan Wesson ECO cycles very flawlessly. I put the OEM magazines in the gun safe.
The rubber boot (or floor plate) does stick out of the bottom, compared to the flush fit OEM magazines. I do not see that as an issue.
