Best Used for:

Good stuff. Wilson combat is the highest quality manufacturer for 1911 products, especially if you are like me and still carry a 1911 everyday. Don’t skimp on quality. Magazine feeds great in 10mm kimber and colt 45 . Actually carried Wilson combat mags on active police duty from 1997 to 2003. No errors or misfeed.

I purchased these WC 47DCB magazines for my Kimber Gold Combat. Well made, solid magazines that feed great and lock up perfectly. The low profile bases match the magwell cuts perfectly. These are the finest 1911 magazines I've found.

I have a new Smith & Wesson Performance Center 1911. I saw in a forum that the traditional magazines with what I call the "duck bill" follower could damage the feed ramp so I decided to get some with polymer followers. Every review I saw said get Wilson Combat magazines so I ordered two of them. They fit perfectly and work flawlessly. I ordered two more. They are easy to disassemble for cleaning and they reputedly last forever. It pays to get quality products for your firearms and these magazines are quality products. The Optics Planet prices are very good which is a bonus!
Pros:
- Price
- Quality
- performance

Have a lot of the Wilson ETM mags. They work without problems in all my 1911's. They however stick out from frame almost a half inch. Not really a problem but I thought I'd try the 47D's. Work just as well as the ETM,s and barely stick out from frame compared to those. I haven't had the reliability in a variety of pistols as I have had with Wilson mags compared to other brands I've tried. CMC Power mags have performed terribly for me. Same goes for Tripp Cobra mags.

I replaced my Springfield 1911 magazines with Wilson Combat’s. The originals stuck on insertion and were difficult to seat. Wilson’s are much smoother and seem to advance to ammunition better. You wouldn’t think such a simple component would make such a big difference.

I had read about Wilson Combat's quality and what I read was spot on. Right out of the package it was evident that the quality of these magazines was top notch. The finish was perfect and when I compared the spring tension with a ProMag magazine I had, I could tell right away that Wilson Combat builds a superior product. I have not been able to test fire at the range yet, but I believe they will perform well in my Kimber Pro Carry II.
Cons:
- Price (but honestly, pretty cheap price considering the quality).

My Remington 1911 came with two factory magazines and their failure to feed was unacceptable. Bought two of these Wilson Combat mags and the firearm now functions as it should. Wish Remington would provide one decent mag rather than two pieces of junk.
