Most Helpful Positive Review Better Than My Stock Safety
If you want a solid ambidextrous safety for your 1911, this is a great option. But keep in mind that AS STATED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS, Wilson Combat has intentionally oversized the internal lug to accommodate a variety of 1911 manufacturers. So IF you are willing to be patient and READ the instructions, you can get it to work. Truth be told, I thought I was filing for clearance, so I overdid it and the safety did not work. Lucky for me, I had a friend that welded back on a bead for me to try it again. I did a better job of studying my stock safety and was able to file the Wilson Combat safety...

The pics show a matte black safety. But it’s blued, so it’s shiny and a brownish tint to it. Would work great for WWII GI clones.

I replaced another Wilson Combat ambi safety that had a "skinny" switch profile for the wider high ride safety. What a difference- night and day.
