the perfect part to a build
Ive been building AR platforms for many years and one of the most overlooked be parts is yhe bolt release, not anymore this is by far yhe best bolt release on the market. Before you start telling be that BAD levers are the bomb, they're not! They are a gimmick that really doesn't do anything for you except getting in the way of the trigger. Works great.Easy to slap.But the color is so flat it looks like ash gray more than the typical flat black used on ARs.It REALLY sticks out like sore thumb.

Very Useful Add On
I've used this item on all my builds since first becoming aware of it a number of years ago. It's even worth the effort to disassemble a completed lower, install and reassemble, even going through the 'roll pin dance" (which I have done too). Very quick and handy to use for both right and left handed shooters. Paddle portion mounts in one of three different positions to accommodate all hand sizes and preferences. Doesn't "snag" on clothing or other equipment. Works very well with gloves as well. A must have for me!

Great product…can’t miss it…
Just installed and used this. EASY install! They supplied the hex for threaded roll pins even. Thank-you. One thing this is very tight tolerances, and with no punch to guide you when your receiver is threaded, get an extra set of hands to hold the lower. Works great is tight and you can activate release just hitting the end of the paddle w one finger. Great product! Love it and it is HUGE.

Very Large
The Wilson Combat mag release is much larger than it seemed in the photos (at least to me). I was a little disappointed when I received it. I'll likely change it out, but I wanted to try it out first before I did that. As far as functionality, it functions without issue. You can remove the tab to reduce the profile and make it close to the standard M16/M4 dimensions, but you might as well keep the M4 style. So I didn't want to give a bad review just because I didn't care for the size, so I wanted to be sure I stated there was nothing functionally or cosmetically wrong with it.

Oversized Awesome
This bolt release truly does assist with fast reloads. Yes it’s big but I really like the large serrations on the release and it’s super easy to install. You can really tell this is a Wilson Combat part.

Big but Good
If you definitely want an oversized bolt release that you can easily manipulate then this is the one for you. As usual this is Wilson Combat quality and built tough. Installation doesn’t take too long but definitely designed for mil spec upper receivers than heavy duty uppers.

Great item
Unlike other parts that can seem gimmicky, this oversized bolt release is an actual part that is very useful. Being as big as it is, you have is sure to make contact with it. A must have for every build in my humble opinion.

Wilson Combat oversized bolt release
I bought this for my AR15 build mostly because of the name brand quality and the design features. I was looking into an ambi bolt release from magpul and Phase5 but I decided against it because I felt the extreme length of the release would increase chances of something getting broken if my rifle got dropped or another mishap. Or worse -interference with the trigger operation If it got bent. The Wilson Combat bolt release looked more the mod for me because it was simple and effective. It can be mounted either vertical or horizontal, and it isn’t just a bolt on but you get the entire mechanism. Overall it isn’t super flashy but it’s a great design and very effective since it increases the surface area by over 400%

Wilson Combat Bolt Catch
Like most products marketed by Wilson Combat(WC), this bolt catch is superb. The concept was well researched and design was executed nicely. The bolt catch is large enough to feel when manipulating with gloves on without being clumsy or prone to snagging when exiting vehicles. The matt finish is very nice and does not seem to rub away with extended use. There seems to be an abundance of poorly made, gimic products on the market to attract the novice shooter to the AR15/ M16/ M4 platform. The Wilson Bolt catch is a professional level upgrade that I would highly reccommend for those who rely on their weapons.
