Wilson Combat Extended Slide Release
Item was m not in stock but the shipment was sent out late and was included with the order. It is listed as blued and package also states this. But compared to my blued 1911 it looks parkerized green. Will have to blue it to match my 45.
Item is of good quality and was a drop in with no fitting required. With average size hands this makes dropping the slide much after reloading easier.
WC Extended Slide Release
I have short fingers so this helps me reach the slide release a bit easier. Had to stone the contact surface a bit, but this is normal to fit them. I'm happy with the fit.

So much more comfortable with almost no difference in width
So much easier, faster, and more ergonomic to run your pistol with more one handed capabilities instead of using your off hand to release the slide or adjusting your grip. I can't see using a 1911 without it. I did have to remove .004" from the diameter to make sure the barrel didn't jam when in battery. Your results will probably vary.

WC Mag Release
I did not realize how bad my mag release needed to be replaced until I installed this new extended version. So much cleaner and easier to change out mags. World of difference.

Wilson combat extended slide release
Got this as a replacement for a factory release that was acting up. It works great, I can drop the slide without breaking grip. The only thing is the color doesn’t quite match anything or I would have given it 5 stars. But if you don’t mind it not matching it’s great.

Indispensable
I have extended slide releases on all my 1911s. I do not have small hands. That is not the reason. It is that it is easier to slap an extended release confidently.
