Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect for my 870 Wingmaster

Too old to hunt ducks anymore, and I wanted to bolt on some defense options. You can't find a short barrel but you can start with the magazine extension now! Fit perfect and very well made. Best price around.

Most Helpful Negative Review Doesn"t fit

Received Ext. Tube very quickly from Optics Planet. Tried to install it on an 870. Would only screw on a couple of turns. Tried it on other peoples 870's Out of 5, it only fit one, which was an older one from 1974. The others, made in the late 1990's and early 2000's, no go. Called Wilson Combat....

Fits perfectly on a registered SBS. The spring is very long but I compressed it at the tube one coil at a time before threading on the extension. Very easy.

Perfect for the Tac14

I bought this for my Tac14. It sets the barrel and mag tube to near even in length. Solid tubes from Wilson Combat and the matte finish is a perfect march. Highly recommend all WC mag tubes.

Magazine plus one

Works great. Spring is a bit long for my SBR 870 magazine tube, so I used the original spring. Optics planet didn’t have it in stock so I back ordered it & it showed up much sooner than expected.

This extension tube came with a spring and a bright green follower. It was a very fast job to install it. The only hiccup I had was when I removed the original threaded cap I was unsure of how to remove the inner cap that held the spring in place. After YouTubing for a bit, I just used some needle nose pliers to wiggle that part out and I was off to the races. Apparently newer 870's have bumps on the inside of the mag tube that keep the spring in place which must be flattened (dremmeled or filed) to remove the spring. Once I know what I was doing my second shotgun took 60 seconds from start to finish to complete this job.

This was exactly what I needed to finish off my Remington 870 Tac-14 build.
Fits perfectly and works great. The sling mount is very useful and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a +1 extension with a Factory / OEM look and solid reliable build.
