Don’t believe the bad reviews, you don’t need fitting!
It isn’t out of spec, you don’t need to file it down. There’s just a little trick to installing it that others may not have caught on to. If you think it’s too big to fit through the other (non button) side, it isn’t! You simply need to install the spring and plungers into the unit, then you guide it in through the side you are gonna press, rear side first. After that you pull the unit toward you, which will compress the spring. While compressing the spring, push down, and it pops in. Requires gunsmith for M9A1
Not a drop in replacement, requires modification of the grip in order to install. This is not stated anywhere on the packaging, hence the one star. The actual piece itself is nicely made and I assume it would accomplish its intended purchase.

The part did not fit and I scratched the part and gun hoping tolerances were just tight and trying to make it work. And judging by the only other review I'm not the only one who encountered this problem.

Wilson combat 92fs magazine release
This comes without the spring, you have to use your existing one. The button is to large to fit in the space on the frame and was tough to work in. Scratched upon my inox frame. Purchase factory oversized mag release that is cheaper in cost (still high quality), comes with spring and fit s perfectly.
I would not recommend this product. I wish I could return it, but I have filled it down on to try and make it fit without success.
