Solid upgrade
I have always replaced the GI slide release on my 1911s with some version of an extended slide release. This one is perfect if you are looking for a little more leverage while reducing the chance of the extension catching on something while you draw.

good quality, but….
Doesn’t fit in my standard Springfield 1911. Pin diameter is too large to allow rotation of the slide stop when in the gun.
Fast shipping and material was good, just disappointing it didn’t fit a pretty common gun.
The best compromise in a slide release...
Wilson's semi-extended slide release for a 1911 is the best compromise between a standard configuration and full extended release. It's easy to activate and doesn't require one having to use slim grips as a fully extended slide release does. Its only downside is the expense...much more expensive than a standard or fully extended slide release. If you can get past that it's a real winner.

You can't go wrong with this livestock it's an important very important part in your 1911 and it needs to be super strong and this one from Wilson combat not only is it bulletproof solid piece of steel no mim but it's also extended and it works great

very disappointed
Product came dirty and with minor scratches all over. Figured it would still be better than the original slide released on my Springfield operator. I was disappointed twice when i found out these are too big to fit properly. The slide gets caught because the diameter is either out of spec or its a Springfield thing. Either way, this does not meet my expectations and is not what i imagined wilson combat quality to be.

Very good slide release for 1911, suitable for carry and hard use.
I used this slide release to replace 3 on my personal pistols. The length is just right for a carry pistol. It clears my holsters nicely and make the slide lever easier to operate.

Good slide stop
Wilson Combat parts are almost, all oversized, for hand fitting. A hand fit part, is almost always better then a drop in part, as your finished pistol, if fit correctly, will be much more accurate, as a result.
