So I bought this front sight and went to a gunsmith who told me he could install it on the barrel but my rear sight probably wouldn't work. That being said, the sight is very clean, very nice, and I wish it would've worked for my application. I think it has to be mated with the Wilson rear sight, or just used on it's own since it's not very tall. It might even mention this in the description(and I overlooked/forgot it) but he said while it will fit other models it's made specifically for the Remington 870.

Great front sight
This is a great sturdy front sight, extremely easy to install on a bead front sight barrel. In my opinion a much better sight than the factory rifle style sights.
