Best non-TSS turkey load available
I have used Winchester Long Beard XR 3” 1 3/4oz #6 shot for the last several years. 2 years ago in Michigan I killed a huge gobbler stone cold dead at 63 yards. This year I used this load exclusively on my single season grand slam. In Oklahoma I dropped my Rio Grande bird at 70 yards. He was dead before he hit the ground. All birds were taken with Beretta A400 using a Jeb’s Headhunter .655 choke
Best pattern with my shotgun
After testing several different turkey loads, these shells with #6 shot deliver the best pattern with my 870 and an Undertaker choke tube. Dropped a gobbler at 40 yards. The pattern is fairly even and dense at 40 yards. I did notice that a few of the shells rattled when shaken despite the shot supposedly “locked” in the buffer material. Not sure if that affects performance.

Winchester long beard XR #5 shot
Optics plant had Winchester long beard xr 3” 1-1/2 oz #5 shot turkey loads and nobody else did. These seem to pattern the best with my Winchester SXP shotgun with a kicks choke. These shells are proven out to 65 yards. Great product and quick shipping
