If you buy this know that the diamond wad is in none of them. Winchester was apparently lazy and didnt change the box after knowingly dicontiuning them.

I bought 5 boxs cut the top off five shell all regular wad

The only reason I gave it one star , is because they chart didn’t offer negative stars!

In October 2021 i bought a case of Winchester Xpert Snow Goose shot shells -1550 BB 3 1/2". I started using them during Oregon third period goose season. I shot at several geese 35-40 yard range and did not kill them I heard the pellets hit the birds and they just keep going. I am using a Winchester SX4 with a modified choke. I had other winchester 3" shells 1550 2 shot and they worked fine and they pattern very well and kill close geese.

after two boxes of not killing any geese with these Xpert shells I went to my 3" winchester 1550 and started killing geese at close range but not far shots..

I patterned the shot by firing into the water, the first shot I saw very pellets hit the water the second and third shot just scattered over a very wide area leaving a lot of gaps. I put my extended chock and and did the same pattern testing and got the same results.

I opened one shell and the pellets seem to be pitted and did not roll at all.

I still have 8 of the 1o boxes I will attempt to contact Winchester about this and see what I can do.. I would not buy these again or recommend these

This shell has been used and has long range due to the fast powder and amount of large steel shot! The smaller shot does not have the long range and knock down power that the large shot has! I would recommend the BB size , if you can get straight # 1 shot, that is also Pretty good as well! Any shot smaller than this doesn’t have the range or knock down power needed!

These are great shells that provide good range on geese! The shells are easy to load and the recoil is not bad. They reach out a little farther which is much needed on geese. If I use a smaller shot the range is less and the knock down power is not as good!
