I purchased these because it definitely smooths out the action of the buffer and it looks different from standard extensions. Not the same as a pre covid era because these now are more rough nickle boron type of finish and the older ones were more of a satin nickle teflon finish but still slick and smooth. I would recommend but one negative on my book is that it doesn't sit flush with the inside of a reciever where as my Vltor extensions line up perfectly and flush internally.
