Great sights from a great company
I’ve been eyeballing these sights for awhile. I finally pulled the trigger when my stock night sights got banged up and my LGS has them for a good price with free install. Took them to the range today and shot better than with 3 dot sights. While shooting rapid fire the white insert popped out. I called XS and the only questions they asked was where to ship the new front sight. Apparently there was a vendor mess up and some product got out to the customers. Also in regards to no tritium line on the back. It really isn’t a big deal. I actually like it better than the tritium line. Super simple ...

DXW Big Dot Sights Are Great!!!
I've been using XS Big Dot sights for over 20 years. I have them on all of my revolvers and pistols. They are sturdy and provide a simple sight for fast and accurate shooting. As I've grown older and my eye sight has changed the XS Big Dot sights are still easy to use. I have no trouble getting on target quickly and accurately. The very first sights I bought over 20 years ago are just as bright as new ones today that are fresh out of the package. You can't go wrong with XS Big Dot sights.
Pros:
- Sturdy, Bright, Fast Target Pick-up
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- all shooting
Would recommend: Yes
Easy to see
These sights are pretty much all there is out there for the Walther PPK guns. Which is fine, because they are a drastic improvement over the factory sights. The front needs to be dovetailed but any gunsmith worth his weight should be able to help you out.

xs sights great for old eyes
These sights area great for older eyes or any one who is slow to focus. With the V-shaped rear sight all you have to do is line up the front dot at the bottom of the V. Once the dot is there your lined up. Before I would have a centering problem. Now it is no wasted time. Plus it's easy to see and focus.
Pros:
- Great sight
Cons:
- None for me
Best Used for:
- Hand guns

XS DXW Big Dot sights
So far so good! I had a gunsmith put them on for me, coast 35.00. I'm enjoying the "learning curve" of these sights (as Byron Chiders said there would me). I get better each time I go to the range. Looking forward to the day that I will shoot out the red X at 8 yards!! Optics world was priced reasonable compared to other online offers. I'll be buying other items from them in the near future.
Pros:
- front sight is easy to see and quick.
Cons:
- The center black spot in the center of the front sight, POA/POI is hard to see

Perfect for Glock MOS and Trijicon RMR
Installed on my Gen 5 Glock 34 MOS easily following XS Sight Systems written instructions and watching video on their website. Does not obscure the RMR sight picture, co-witnesses at lower 1/3. Big dot is easily visible through RMR glass and there if you need it without competing against RMR.

Big Dots have become my favorite handgun sights.
I started using XS Big Dots on a Glock a few years ago and quickly discovered they are the fastest shooting sights I have used. My brain does not need time to process aligning three dots or a square peg in a square slot. You just rest the golf ball in the land and boom, on target. I have heard folks say they are not very precise but I shoot out to 20 yards and can get the job done so I will leave that group to the paper punchers and spotting scopes. Bottom line, now matter what handgun you have these sights are perfect for CQB if that is the goal.
Pros:
- Easy to install
- Simple to use
- Fast on target
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Self defense

Big Dot Sights for Smith and Wesson L Frame Revolver
I purchased DXW night sights for my Smith and Wesson 586 L Comp, which has a 3 in barrel. They are a vast improvement over the factory Performance Center sights, which I found difficult to pick up due to black on black front and rear sights and the TINY tritium insert. I have yet to try the Big Dot in low light, but at the indoor range they are easy for my middle aged eyes to pick up and quickly align, allowing me to gain an accurate sight picture MUCH more quickly then with the factory sights. The only reason I give the XS four stars rather than five is that I was forced to buy a new holster to accommodate them. The front sight was like a fishhook when drawing from my Crossbreed OWB holster; it snagged every time. If you have a holster that covers the entire barrel, you should be fine.
Pros:
- Fast, accurate sight picture
- Easy for older eyes to pick up.
Cons:
- May snag on certain holsters.
Best Used for:
- Putting rounds on target fast at short and medium ranges.
