My other 870 express I carefully hand filed down those little dimples which took about 2 hours. I used assorted hand files. When I decided to add this 2 plus for a 870 tactical 6 to increase to 8 , I order this unit. The dimple removal tool came in handy. Use a lot of oil and grease which I have and it was a bear to get out. Take your time so there will be no damage to the magazine tube going into the receiver. My hand filing time was cut down to 20 minutes there after. The add on is 4 inches past the barrel but does not obstruct fired ammunition. It does have blow by burnt powder that easily ...

Swage tool is useless
I ordered this back in June. I just received it at the end of August. I waited all this time just because I thought the tool was gonna be useful. I tried it twice. All it did was kept opening up the whole mag tube. I still had to grind the detente off like they do on YouTube. I would say don’t waste your time and just buy an extension and plan on grinding it out with a Dremel. After I did that for the third try taking it all apart everything worked fine and it’s cycled fine. Without dremelling the detents make the follower get stuck.

Once you drive it into the magazine tube it is necessary to peen the dimples flat. These steps are not anywhere in the video.
