Most Helpful Negative Review They work.
These pins are ok for the money. In my opinion the detent holes are to deep. So it’s extremely tight, like need a tool to push/pull them open. Also I was missing one of the tools. Spend a little more money and get quality.

the hole is not machined correctly. when the detent pin sets in the open setting it sets in too deep and the pin can't be pushed back in

XTS- Pivot andTakedown set

I'm not sure how well they work because I have not installed them and I never will. One pin has a glossy finish while the other pin has a rough WWII looking matte finish. I would return them but for $13 I'm just gonna keep the springs and detents along with the handy little tool set.

  • The takedown pins.

  • Not my AR builds.

It works great!

As the title says, it works great! The extended make it nice if you have big, clumsy fingers. The tools in the package deal make switching out the pivot pin a breeze. Paired with the Real Avid pivot pin install tool, it's great! The only trick is not losing your detent & spring, but a gallon size kitchen bag works good for that.

Great quality, these pins are so much easier to open. The tools in this kit make for easy installation. Optics planet has fast shipping.. the fit and finish on the pins are very good.I hope this helps if you are looking for AR 15 parts.

Very sturdy, the extension is great for easy take down. Tools fit and worked perfectly. Will definitely buy more for another ar build.
