Got a good 1

by Doug A Smith, from KS, United States Written on January 24, 2022
I saw the poor reviews on this product...decided to try 1 as a friend of mine had good luck. I don't know if the company's QC has gotten better, the other reviewers got bad units, or I just got a good 1. The 1 I received tightened up good around the castle nut & every QD swivel I have tried has worked easily...including Magpul & other top brands. I gave all the swivels a pull test as well, pulled as hard as I could, no pop outs. I do recommend taking the screw all the way out & putting some thread locker on it to keep it from loosening. If you do get a bad 1, send it back for another...OP has great CS.
Pros:
  • lightweight & ambi
Cons:
  • aluminum...socket may wear out with heavy use

Cheaply manufactured junk

by Disappointed, from TX, United States Written on August 2, 2020
Once the ring was set against the butt plate, I attempted to tighten the screw that squeezes the ring around the buffer tube. Screw sank all the way in and appeared to be seated. But the ring did not tighten up and spun freely on buffer tube. I did not even torque the screw down, yet. But when I attempted to back the screw out and try to reset it, in hopes it just needed to be adjusted and get a bite on the opposite end of the ring, it would not back out and is stuck in the screw seat of the ring. Using both the Allen wrench that was included and one from a better set of my own, the screw head became stripped and will not bunch. Wasted my money on this piece of junk. Will not buy again. Nor will I trust any XTS product in future. Anyone looking for this type adaptor, skip this one and find a better product that will actually work.
Pros:
  • Not a single one
Cons:
  • IT'S JUNK
Best Used for:
  • Filling the trash can

Not what I had hoped for

by Nickname, from MN, United States Written on November 15, 2016
I have an MS4 dual QD sling and was hoping this would work as a less expensive option to install an attachment point than others I saw (Midwest Industries/Daniel Defense) for an option without having to remove the castle nut and end plate. It looks almost identical to the MI option and simple enough that what could be wrong? The push button sling adapter was difficult to insert and remove in the QD cup. The MS4 dual QD was even more difficult to insert and remove. Not quick to detach. I decided to remove it and send it back for a refund. After removing it from the buffer tube, I noticed it had deformed some threads on the buffer tube. I don't know if this style of adapter, weather it is an XTS or MI would have the same issue with the threads.

I gave it 2 stars, because it would work, sort of as intended, with the supplied QD sling adapter and the thread issue may just be common to this style adapter.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Poorly fitting components for intended use
