Mixed Review
This is what you'd have to call a mixed review.
I've tried this scope mount with a Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4x20mm on two different AR lower receivers: one, a Rock River; the other, from JP Enterprises.
On the first, it works like a champ. It grips the rail tightly and provides a solid platform for the scope.
On the second, nothing I can do will get it to grip the rail tightly enough to take a little rattle out of the connection. It seems to shoot all right at the range, but I don't see how it could hold any kind of zero in the field.
My first inclination was to blame the rail, but the quick-detach mount I use on my red dot optic for these guns grips both rails perfectly; and that leaves me thinking there is something about both the rail on the JP receiver and the YHM mount that (not to fall back on technical jargon) ain't quite right.
That having been said, I have no plans to return the mount. It works fine on the Rock River. Plus I've left a mark or two on the tightening nuts trying to get it snug.
In sum: if it fit both rails the way it fits the JP, I'd be giving it one star; but if it fit both rails the way it fits the Rock River, it'd get it five. I'm giving it a four because I figure there's more Rock Rivers than JPs in circulation. Your mileage may vary.
Other good things to know:
Attached as far forward as it will ride on either receiver, with the scope pushed as far forward as it will go, the eye piece for this scope is directly over the grips on the tail...
