Well made billet upper that looks cool too
Upper fit the lower perfectly. Like the cool design of it makes the rifle stand out from others. Inside of upper is nice and smooth with some sort of slick finish making it cycle smoothly. Great billet upper for a great price.
Enhanced bolt catch will not fit into milled pocket on upper reciver
Wish the finish was as nice as the Seekins lower. It's an ambi lower bolt catch release, so having a standard bolt catch size isn't terrible. Other than that the upper receiver is beautiful,this thing is beefy in all the right areas. Planned on a cerakote finish from the beginning would definitely recommend.

Yankee Hill billet receiver
Really happy with this billet receiver. Well made and fits my billet lower perfect. Has dry lube inside and machining is excellent. Will buy again. Need a few more to ceracote and this will be as good as any of the top ARs out thete. Thanks optic Planet.

Another review complaining about fit and finish..
This is a really unique looking upper which is the only reason why I kept it. It took 3 tries till I received one that didn't look like a blemished model. First two came with chipped sections along with areas that were scruffed. Third one came with scruffs but I didn't care at this point.... I can see the scruffs coming from transport since the packaging left much to be desired but the chips had to be missed by YHM QC.
Aside from that, it fit perfectly on my spikes lower, no issue and looks awesome. If you can get it on sale, go for it. I don't recommend paying full msrp for it though with what quality ive seen so far

Decent billet,
It's a ok upper, nice price but I think the finish is just ok. I'm not using it on the build I bought it for because it don't fit with my seekins lower. The lower finish won't matter if you are going to get a different finish put on it.

Nicest looking billet upper
Super nice Billet upper. Quality is excellent, and you can't beat the looks. I've purchased different billet uppers before, and although the build quality seems to be the same on most billet uppers, you don't get the looks or the detail that you do with this upper.

Great upper!
Fit and finish are perfect! The design is awesome and will make for a great looking, unique build. Magpul B.A.D. lever will not work with it but I'm hoping that the Phase 5 will work with it. It aligned perfectly to my Spikes Tactical billet lower receiver.

Poor Parkerizing
I was extremely unhappy with the finish of this upper. Yankee Hill has a good reputation but this upper was either part of their blemish program or someone really missed the QC that day.
The only reason I am not returning this is I decided to Cerakote the rifle but I decided this because of the poor finish on the parkerizing.
I do recommend this product because it is a gun part and gun parts will get beat up. However if you are looking make a safe queen AR, then be aware you might get poor finishing and might want to consider cerakoting your rifle.

This is the second one I've purchased. Built an AR 300 Blackout with the first one, Cerakoted everything FDE. Bought the second to build a 223 upper to match. Yankee Hill makes top quality parts. These Billet uppers are top notch and great looking at a great price.
