So much better
These takedown pins are so much better than the milspec ones. They are easy to install and at least you have something to grab onto when you go to pull these things out. If you have dexterity issues with your fingers, like I have, then I believe these are a must.

Doesn't Fit
They look nice and it would be great to have the little handles to pull on but they don't fit properly. Seem to wobble and won't slide completely in. I only tried the rear pin but tried it on two lowers and neither worked properly. While the original flat pins work smoothly. Don't know what the ...

Nice Upgrade
They do exactly what they’re supposed to do! Makes a big diff on tight receivers. Quicker and easier on the fingers.

I put them on all my builds
These are awesome and I put them on all my builds. They do not come with the detent pin and spring. On my Sig MPX the front one is slightly shorter than it should be to reach the back side. I wish they offered a longer version for that firearm.

Easiest pins to use.
Purchase these for a 300 blackout build. I already have them on a 5.56 rifle. They work great and make splitting the upper and lower a little easier.

Yankee Hill Machine EZ Pull Takedown Pins Front/Rear Set
These are a "must have" for any AR build! Well worth the money. These pins made it much easier to pull such that the upper can be removed, cleaned, etc. Yankee Hill has the best!

EZ Pull Takedown Pins ar E-Z
I have these on all of my lowers, and it is one of the first things I do. No tool necessary, don't have to pull a feeedom seed to push it out, or jammed finger nails. There are some cheaper ones out there, but the others I've tried at just that CHEAP.

Good for tight recievers
These are great if you have tight receivers that make it difficult to pull the pins. These have more area to grab which makes it's much easier to pull the pins. The movement isn't as smooth as I'd like, but it was an easy fix by simply polishing the detent channel a little bit. Overall they work great.

Very user friendly
Immediately upon discovering these pins back in... probably 2008-ish... I got a set for my rifle. I was tired of having to use my fingernails to pry the pins away from the lower receiver, and these pins solved my problem.
These pins are worlds better than the regular pins that come in the average lower parts kit. The rear pin can sometimes "confuse" your fingers if you're using an ambidextrous safety, but that can be trained for.
These were my go-to set of takedown pins for over a decade. From discovering them long ago, to just a couple of months ago (as of March 2024), these went on my rifles. I had a pivot pin shear on me, though, when I accidentally dropped my lower and the pin was sticking out to the side. Broke right in two. The metallurgy is average, and they'll be just fine for the average shooter who puts average wear and tear on their equipment, but that's not me. So, I have been using solid stainless pins since then, but these pins are still a really great value. Easily recommended.
