This was fairly easy to sight in, I remembered from another review that the reticle will move the in the opposite direction form what the arrow on the adjustment know says, and dialed it right in. I did my sighting in after dark, and in no time had all my rounds staying in a 2 inch circle at 50 yards. On a night with 70% moon or more I had no trouble seeing coyote size game at 100 yards, and on a dark night the IR is effective at this range also. Which is way better than what I expected from reading all the reviews before I bought it. I am using this to eliminate problem coyotes in my back yard. Most shots are 50/75 yard and it has been very effective. Mounted on a 300 AAC Blackout I've eliminated three to date!
Pros: Uses AA batteries, lighter than competition, controls easy to use
Cons: Magnification is nowhere near 2.5 X,
