Used for 7 months When something came loose inside and would no longer focus. Yukon went out of business and no where to get it repaired. Stuck with $550.00 boat anchor. Don't buy any night vision until you can confirm a warranty !

my old russian gen 1 night vision scope shows 40 yards this yukon maybe 15 with ir illum on if there is enuf moonlite needed to use this nite vision scope a good burris is way lighter,there is better outhere look at other brands or other models

I have to say after reading so many mixed reviews of Gen 1 scopes I was just about to not buy this scope. I researched to the best of my limits to find something that I could use for a 300 blk out rifle especially for night coyote hunts since I have that current problem and I believe it is hurting my deer hunting . I read so many complaints about these rifle scopes and that many people dId not like Gen 1. Well let me be honest. I have seen through many Gen 2 and gen 3 night vision monocular and scopes having LEO friends with such tactical gear. That being said I was sure I was going to be disappointed by a Gen one product. But I did not have the $$$$ to pay 2,000-3,000 $ for a scope just to coyote hunt/varmint hunt. I do not need a 200+ yard rifle scope either. 50-100 is plenty well. The yukon 2.5x50 tactical comes with the night vision mode and with any ambient light - moon etc I am able to see 30-50 yards clearly with ambient light and the internal ir illuminator I can see 50-80 yards clearly and I by clear ..I mean I could tell u if your holding 3 or 5 finders up etc. I purchased a 805nm pulsar ir illuminator to assist and with this set up I have approx $680 in both . And last night with almost no moon and very cloud skies basically as dark as it gets around here I could see 100-150 yards across this field into the tree line. With no issues! I would take a shot up to 100 shooting suppressed 300blk out as that is about as far as it has effectively accurate hits. This ...

It works well enough for the money I guess, however I received 2 broken units before I got a good one. They could make a better quality product that costs less if they would spend some time on quality control in the first place.
Pros: Finally one that focuses.
Cons: No magnification, IR illuminator is a bright red dot at 100 yds.

Bought it for my b-day, but I had to leave before it arrived. Had a family member try it out. Said you can see the hill about (250/300) yards away. I was surprised. I finally got my hands on it when it was pitch black after rain. I could see maybe 75/100 yards across field and image was blurred due to condensation on eye piece lense. Whipped it off, was better. So I came in the house to check moon phases, last night was 99% full but we still had clouds blocking the moon shine. So a dull lumination. I tried it again. It was vivid, you can make out objects well at distance, by the hill. IR is a nice aid, but seems to be best for super low light. I cant imagine a full moon night, would be like daylight thru it. Says you can use 308 or less. I guess. This isnt like military generation where you can see half way across the county in pitch black. You get what you pay for. First gen works but it isnt the best, BUT it is affordable. From what I can tell dont buy a cheap 1st gen scope, spend the extra $200. Otherwise it looks solid and a good product. One thing i noticed was you can turn the switch off and it appears to continue using captured light without a power source. It dims slowly, saves on batteries BUT it's also why you dont look at light with the lens still green. These things have lotsa dos and don'ts. READ THE BOOK and look up how night vision works to get the most out of your product and how not to break it.

horrible, like looking through a standard scope with a green glow, very little light amplification compared to Gen 1 old military stuff, with illuminator on it snuffs out the whole view into a green haze. The illuminator was crooked and upon losening to refit the nut came off internally 2 hours later and complete dissasembly its put back together right. Hunk of Scrap save your money and invest in a good conventional low light scope.

If a piece of equipment is out of stock -- you should say so on your listing. You should also include "valid" warranty information with the item. I was sent a "go to" card with a non-existent web link. I had to make 5 calls between two companies before I finally got someone who knew what they were doing. Impressed with the produce, not the company -- sorry.

Critter jumped 3 feet in the air and was dead when it landed.
