Will not pick up a usable image even close to full darkness without IR. The IR is visible, most likely ~840 or so, so it gives away your position. Controls feel cheezy, almost toy-like.
Save your money and buy a better grade of gear. You really do get what you pay for.
Pros: low cost, body seems rugged, good form factor

Sightmark Wraith 2x28 night vision
Excellent quality for the price. Picture was very clear from edge to edge as advertised. IR illuminator works great. I was able to clearly see in near total darkness with out the IR being needed. The brightness dimer swith was easy to use, and only having one focus adjustment as opposed to two was a plus,for easy of use. For the money you can't beat this for serious night vision.
