This model is supposed to have a locking screw to lock down your zero after adjusting windage and elevation. Sightmark website shows it as a feature on this model. Opticsplanet include the "locking wrench" but conveniently leave this feature out on the description, even though it is supposed to have it to function. They even include the wrench so you would assume it's included. Instead of the locking screw, the socket is intentionally filled in with black silicone. This unit will NOT hold a zero on a 12ga shotgun. 1 shot and it was completely off target, because there is NOT a locking screw to hold it in place.
Why would a company sacrifice losing a customer by misleading them for $49?
Great features on this site, but they are completely useless if it can't be locked into place.
OP Customer service recommended I call Sightmark instead of making it right and swapping it out.
Pros: Great features that are useless
Cons: Completely useless without locking screw
