Most Helpful Positive Review Sightmark 4-16x44 Triple Duty Tactical Riflescope SM13017
I bought this scope for my Ruger 77 Mark II 300 Win Mag for the elk hunt this year. It took me around 10 minutes to mount, and another 10 minutes to zero. At 250 yards I'm shooting a 2" group and only loose another inch at 350 yards. Love it. Pros: Easy to mount, zero, and adjust moa Cons: none yet

Let's be fair

by Wahketin, from CO, United States Written on May 26, 2021
It's a $200 scope, buyer beware. For the average person hunting out to 300 yards, you could probably get away with using this scope. I put it on my 8mm, and in fairness I was working up my powder loads, and couldn't get a group to save my life. So I says, well my 308 groups a dime at 100, I'll put it on that. It went from a dime to a 3-5 inch group at 100. So if you just want a scope for plinking or short range hunting it's probably fine. You're just not gonna want it for precision shooting, competition, or anything beyond 300.

  • Cheap

This was the first sight Mark Triple Duty that I've purchased. I bought a refurbished scope because I was hesitant about an unknown(to me) optic for my rifle.I mounted this scope on a Mauser M98 in 270 Winchester. After bore sighting the rifle I took it to the range for test firing. I fired two rounds from 100 yards, which hit high and right. I measured for the adjustment and made the correction, three MOA left and one MOA down I then fired three rounds which were under a half MOA ON THE POINT OF AIM ON THE TARGET. I haven't had in the field for a test of getting bounce around but so far it's looking very good.
Pros:
  • Clear, tracks well, easy to manipulate adjustments
Cons:
  • Non so far
Best Used for:
  • Target, hunting 0-300 yards

Master Goldsmith

It amazes me how you guys have a love or hate for these scopes. Im betting most of your problems were cheap rings, owner operator error, or just bad luck. I'm curious why you didn't trade any bad ones in for replacement? Duh, lifetme warantee. The rings seem to be the only real problem but since I had to get new rings for my ruger anyway im confident that its a decent scope. Im sighting it in this week and will give an update. Seems strange how some do so well and others have problems though and no recent reviews. Can't always judge a book by reviews but since the good are really good I am going with that. Stay tuned 1/8 MOA should be awsome. Some people just might not be that good at finding everything out about their scopes.
Pros:
  • Great optics, very clear, very bright
Cons:
  • None that I know of
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Clear, clear, and clear

by Casey, from IN, United States Written on December 2, 2016
Very well built very clear as clear as my brothers $800 vortex. The illuminated reticle is very nice in low light conditions. Turrents feel good and solid and lock firmly into place. Parallax adjustment is smooth and really makes focusing on targets a breeze.
Pros:
  • Quality
  • clarirty
Cons:
  • None

sight mark 4-16x44

by Garrison, from IN, United States Written on September 1, 2016
Love the scope holds zero every time. I'm getting half 1/4 groups at 100 yds then went out to 350 yds adjusted the elevation turret and I get two inch groups every time. The windage works well also had a 7-12 mph cross wind. Does come with scope rings but are pretty cheap spend the extra and get a Burris P.E.P.R. Not as clear as my Nikon but for the $600 price difference you can't go wrong.

It's OK for the money

by James Luke, from MO, United States Written on November 5, 2015
If you must have a scope, this may be OK. I think I would have made a different choice with a little more time and consideration. I think I jumped on my decision to buy this too fast. Lesson learned. It's not terrible. Just think I could have made a better choice.

another bad chineese built scope!

by timothy, from ID, United States Written on October 11, 2015
i took another chance on a chineese built scope and hoped it would be a good scope. i was wrong again! the scope dosnt hold zero after its sighted in and once i lock in the turrets the zero changes. so it took some time and ammo to get it locked and zeroed. i accually hope the scope fails all the way so i can throw it away and not have to look at it anymore and reminding me i wasted $200. i will only buy full lifetime warranty scopes for now on. lesson learned for good.

  • None
Cons:
  • Made in China, enough said.
  • bad internals
  • bad tollerences

excellent for the price.

by Machine, from MN, United States Written on October 27, 2014
For the price this thing cannot be beat. Zero was quick and easy, and held over 200 rounds of testing. All controls are solid and precise. Retical illumination is nice, paralax and other adjustments are easy to use. Would definately recommend as an entry level scope.
