I love this scope. The glass is the best glass of any scope I’ve ever owned. There is a reason why German optics and glass are considered the best in the world, and this scope reinforces that reputation.
Personally, I enjoy a simple reticle that doesn’t distract the shooter, but drives the eye towards the center of the viewing area and the ZMOA performs that purpose perfectly. The BDC built in allows immediate hold over corrections. Similarly, the construction of the scope is great. The scope is light and rather compact. The elevation and windage adjustments are tactically crisp and exact with no “mushiness“ between clicks whatsoever. One of the nicest features is the zero-stop, or what Zeiss calls, the Ballistic Stop. Setting the ‘stop’ is very easy and is metal on metal. There are no plastic pieces that can be stressed, or broken, by a minor over exertion of a quick elevation change.
There’s only one thing I would like addressed, and that is the Torx screw that holds the elevation turret down. If one is not careful, the screw could break.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the scope. I now have a scope that is as equally at home on a Daniel Defense 3-gun rifle as it is on my .308 Bolt action for deer hunting and hot hunting.
Pros:
- Clarity / brightness is outstanding
- Build quality is excellent
- reticle illumination is excellent
- Light transmission and clarity
Best Used for:
- shooting competetions
- Hunting 10yd - 300yds
- 3 gun and home defense

This is the perfect AR scope. Light weight, clear image, bright even in low light conditions. I use Steiner, Leupold Mark 4 and Trijicon scopes, The Zeiss V 6 is by far my favorite. I compared the Zeiss V 6 1-6x24 to my Steiner Night Hunter Extreme. The Zeiss is better in every way and cost much less. After using the V 6 1x24 I'm going to replace both of my Leupold Mark 4's. Not sure if I'll get another V 6 or try the New V 4, either way I know I'll be satisfied. Yes, Quality costs more but in the long run it's always worth it.

Ordered a Demo item to save money. Mistake. Scope was defective, Returned scope for same product this time new in box, Waiting for new scope to arrive. Lesson learned... Don't buy a Demo. I've bought thousands of dollars worth of stuff from Optics Planet, This is the ONLY time I've ever had an issue,or returned a product, They will always be my first choice when I need Optics.
