They are the same exact thing as the butler creek scope covers. cheap flimsy plastic.
I would not have bought these if i knew they were just the butler creek style (and probably made by butler creek) flimsy plastic scope covers with the zeiss name on it. the part that goes over the scope is rubber and then it goes to that super weak hinge made of plastic. I have not used these yet but I have had the butler creek covers and these are the same thing and if you hit them the slightest way in the wrong direction they will break. Don't bother to use these for a brush gun. if the cover gets caught on a branch or anything remotely thick it will break it as well. I should have known better when i saw the price of them that they would be cheaply made. I should have bought the Leopold scope so I could have bought the real lens covers they make for there scopes.
Pros:
- if you don't hit anything they might last
- if you do manage to keeep them on they will stop rain and snow from getting on the lenses as well as dust, etc.
Cons:
- super flimsy cheaply made
- if i was carl zeiss i would be ashamed to have my name on these things
