Very nice scope awesome optics the rapid z 800 reticle is perfect my yardage lines up perfect with the reticle there is no faster way to get on target than this. The only thing that I don't like is that it's not ffp I have to put the power on 21 to make the reticle work which is fine until it's getting dark. If they made one in ffp it would be perfect

I have been a huge Zeiss fan for 20 years and this is my second Zeiss scope. I have other European built scopes and some high quality USA made scopes and Zeiss is my favorite for clarity and brightness. However, this is my first long distance scope and I have not yet put it to the full test beyond 200 yards. I like the size of this scope and will be using it on two identical rifles in different calibers for long distance target and hunting.
This was a great purchase at a low price I only find at Optics Planet.

I have not used this one that was shipped to me yet but have purchased this scope in the past and love it. Others who are particular about their optics have commented on clarity too. I am not sure how it stacks up to other more expensive models but it is a great deal for the price

I believe this is the 4th Zeiss I've added to the collection. All get used hard and I also have most other brands as well. Way above average glass, pretty sharp at the edges but as with "most" will lose some at higher magnifications. IMO very comparable to NF & Leu. Not far behind Swaro,Zeiss and Leica but you do get what you pay for. Reticles are a bit thick but I'm accustomed to very fine lines but these scopes have the features I like. They hold their POI and track repeatably. I like the warranty and wouldn't hesitate to get another. Cakes

Awesome scope, great reticle I just wish it was a first focal plane I have to dail the power up to 21 for the reticle to line up and it does line up perfect but when it's getting dark I wish I could dail the power back to let more light in but all in all great scope

This Riflescope is awesome for hunting in dusk or low light situations especially for varmint hunting The only reason it did not get five stars is because the holdovers on the Rz1000 reticle for the 308WIN are accurate upto about 300 yards but after that they are incorrect and/or off by just a little that's why I gave it four stars but would like to add that this is some of the clearest glass I have ever look through on a rifle I will be going with a Z Plex instead of a different style reticle

I put this Zeiss conquest scope on a stainless Ruger #1 in 243. What a combination for accuracy! The scope gathers in light so well it extends the evening view where the light is dim for at least an extra 30 minutes past what I used to be able to shoot. The focus knob is quick & smooth and the scope holds its zero without any variance at all. The only small criticism I have at all is the turret knobs are small and can be a little difficult to move during the initial zeroing solely because of the texture of the knob. That said i would buy this scope again in a heartbeat. Optics planet provided by FAR the best price on this scope and I looked online for literally months before i bought it. Buy with confidence!
Cons:
- small turrets for windage & elevation

I purchased this scope on 11/25/15 and received it 11/30/15. With Thanksgiving holiday being right in the middle of my shipping time I still received it quickly....Good Job OpticsPlanet. On with the scope review.....man I can't believe I've waited this long to finally spend the money on a good quality scope. I've always used Nikon's in the past and thought they were good (and they are okay for what you pay) but after my first hunt with this scope, I know why they cost more. The clarity of this Zeiss is unreal. Also, the amount of light the Zeiss draws in at dusk goes above and beyond my previous scopes. I was able to hunt another 15-20 minutes later than usual hunting over a large field and could still see pretty good with the scope when I climbed out of my stand. If you are serious about hunting and what to be able to take advantage of those last critical minutes of your time, invest in this scope.
Pros:
- Clarity/brightness is outstanding
- ability to draw in light at dusk

Great scope for the price range. Very light and clear glass which Zeiss is known for. The Z-Plex reticle is best used for precision target practice. If you are a hunter, Rapid Z is for you. Just make sure you pick one that suits your caliber.

Excellent clear optics. Reticle and software work great together. Mounted with zeiss rings and bases. medium rings just barely fit on a Remington model 700 long action. Higher rings may be best to move optic away from hot barrel during multi-shot sessions.
Pros:
- Clear, bright optics
- great zoom range
