My buddy got one of these last year and I was impressed with it. I couldn’t pass up this deal so now I have one too. I put it on a 260 rem match rifle and have no complaints. Very good glass for the price.
Pros:
  • Great image
  • Great turret feel
  • Nice, usable reticle
Cons:
  • None

Zeiss LRP S3 6-36 X 56

by Bob, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on April 7, 2026
This beats my Leopold Mark V HD and my Vortex Strike Eagle by a mile. Clearer glass, easy to operate controls, and the best illuminated reticle.
Plan to replace the others with the same.

Zeiss S# 6-36

by Jake Rae, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on February 12, 2026
Great quality and very clear glass. Eye box is a little tight and slightly on the heavier side, but build quality is excellent. The illumined recital is more than indicated in the pictures. Points on the drop compensation recital are illuminated as well as the center cross hairs.
Pros:
  • Very clear glass
Cons:
  • Tight eye releiff
Best Used for:
  • Precision shooting

excellent, especially at discounted price

At 20% off already discounted price and $400 OP bucks it was no brainier for me. I have purchased this scope before from different vendor but unfortunately had to return because of parallax adjustment issues. Nevertheless, it made my wanted list because everything else was pretty darn good.
FFP, Mil tree reticle, Japanese made, non rotating ocular unlike NF lines, checks all the boxes.
Optically, I think my S&B PM2 5-25 glass is better, but is it $2500 better? Absolutely not. Is G3 better? May be, but everything I have ever owned from Vortex has been to their repair shop and than subsequently sold. Not a fan of Vortex products.
Reticle is perfect for aging eyes, bold, easy to focus on and non-obstructing. My ATACR MilXT reticle, no matter what I do with ocular, looks fuzzy and too busy to me. But this is a matter of opinion, of course.
Eyebox is tight? It actually helps to minimize parallax error, just mount your scope properly and adjust LOP. Also not a problem at magnifications you should be using this optic anyway. Golden optical performance is at middle third of magnification range of any scope. For this one, its 15-25, which perfectly matches my needs and will get me past mile just fine. Same goes for complaints about sub-optimal performance at 36X. If you need 36X, get a 5-45 scope.

Pros:
  • Resolution quality
  • Low light performance. Made in Japan.
Cons:
  • None for me
Best Used for:
  • PRS & long range shooting
