Gripen's Review of ZEV Technologies AR-15 Picatinny Wedge Lock Handguard

I needed a long, rigid handguard for a 20" rifle build. After comparing various options, I settled on the Zev 16.6" wedge lock handguard and am extremely happy with it. There are only two improvements I'd suggest: incorporate a steel QD stud like on Triarc wedge lock rails, and make it out of 7075 aluminum instead of 6061 for even more rigidity. Overall, I'm definitely happy with this handguard and highly recommend it.
Pros:
  • Rigid and lightweight
  • One of the longest rails on the market
Cons:
  • expensive - but worth it
  • 6061 aluminum.
Best Used for:
  • 3 gun, competition matches, range
