Will this work with 223 556

Yes but it is a 7.62 so it may not mitigate as much flash as a 5.56 flash hider. The benefit is that you could use one flash hider on multiple calibers as long as the thread pitch is the same. Just make sure to get the correct thread pitch for your rifle barrel.

Title and part of the description says this is for 5.56 then some of the description says it's for 7.62. Which is it and what is the thread pitch? Can you answer this question?
