Traditional tie downs can be a hassle because they need to be turned into a single loop to tension. This can be an issue if the tail end needs to be threaded through small gaps or tight bends to finish the loop. The Carabiner Tie Down offers two-point anchoring to make securing your load quicker and more convenient than ever. Carabiners are ideal for the task because they have a very high load capacity and unlike hooks their spring lock mechanism ensures they won't come undone. When clipped into the bar-tacked webbing loop the carabiner is offset away from the anchor point which reduces the chance of damage to your vehicle. Where large loads do not allow the designated webbing loop to be engaged, the carabiner can be clipped to any part of the tie down. Many vehicles have anchor points built in and the tie down can be attached directly to these points too.
