Product Info for Sky Watcher AZ-EQ6 Mount
The versatile Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 is a multi-purpose GoTo mount capable of alt-azimuth, equatorial, or dual OTA configurations. Ideal for both refractors and Newtonians, the AZ-EQ6 has a 44 pound payload capacity and includes a 44 pound counterweight. The mount also includes the SynScan hand controller with over 42,000 object database, so you can quickly find your favorite objects. To convert the mount to dual OTA mode, you'll need the included dual OTA mounting saddle that will allow you to mount your second OTA onto the mount's shaft. Equatorial accuracy is provided by the mount's three axes, which move with the pikes horizontally. A secondary axis on the mount's right side can be used to balance heavy telescopic telescopes. The AZ-EQ6 includes the counterweight shaft extension, which allows you to balance heavy telescopic telescopes with the Pivot Pointer control. The SynScan hand controller also offers real-time scrolling of GO TO directions.
