Product Info for SOG Aura Camping Knife w/ 10.95" OAL
SOG Aura Camping Knives AU01-N are a series of compact, ergonomic utility knives that were inspired by years of innovative blade design. The fixed blade Aura series of knives was in part based on the original Bowie knife design of 1838, but obviously SOG has added a few 21st century amenities to that original blueprint. The polymer handle of this SOG knife is glass reinforced and over-molded for improved durability and pliability, plus its non-slip material helps you keep a firmer grip on the knife, even in wet or rainy conditions. The innovative blade design of the SOG Aura Camping Fixed Blade Knife eliminates the need for a crossguard, and SOG Specialty Knives & Tools has even included a nylon sheath with the blade. If you find your Aura knife getting dull in the middle of a camping trip, don't worry; simply remove the carbide sharpening rod that's encased in the knife's handle and bring your knife back to its razor edge.
