The different end caps make it easy to identify which guide rod you have. I have a flat one with a 13lb spring for shooting sub Sonics and the pointed one with a 15 lb for everything else. Strike Industries is one of my go to companies.

The SI Modular Guide Rod for GLOCK GEN3 is a stainless steel, customizable system that accepts any aftermarket compatible GLOCK Spring as well as Strike Industries custom recoil spring weights. Its stainless steel shaft and anodized aluminum end cap will not rust, crack or break as easily as polymer rods found in oem Glock pistols, increasing its service life compared to standard recoil assemblies. Fine tune your recoil characteristics and improve reliability by using their recoil springs offered in various weights without having to buy more than one guide rod. Simply unscrew the endcap, replace the spring to your preference, replace the end cap and youre good to go!image
